Rental prices are covered under Price and Availability. Prices indicated are for the property, per week, inclusive of electricity, gas & water. Please note that the rental charges have been adjusted for bookings made in the low & high season periods to include an additional charge to cover increased electricity consumption and pool maintenance. A spare gas bottle (for barbeque or portable indoor heater) is provided, should this run out and need to be re-filled by you, the cost will be refunded on production of a receipt.
Bed fitted base sheets, duvets, duvet covers, pillows & pillow cases, bath, hand and tea towels are provided, along with some spare blankets. Beach/swimming towels are not provided.
Bed linen must not be laundered by the client, it is changed weekly on changeover day (please let us know if you don't want fresh linen & towels during a multiple week rental).
The "property" stated, as La Lorrie is owned by Mr Richard Hales & Mrs Susanne Hales. The "owner" offers the property for rental, subject to confirmation, to the person wishing to rent it - "the client"

No pets.
The property includes a swiming pool that is entirely enclosed by an approved fence with a magnetic latch and key lock. The pool will be locked prior to client arrival and the key provided to the client. In unlocking the swimming pool the client accepts the following terms of use:
1. The pool gate will remain closed at all times other than when being used to access the pool.
2. Anyone (including adults) using the pool will be supervised by a competant person able to give or obtain assistance in case of emergency.
3. Alcohol consumption will be avoided prior to using the pool.
4. No sharp objects, stones, gravel or hard toys will be allowed inside the pool fence (to protect the plastc liner).
5. The solar cover will be kept on the pool when not in use in order to maintain the temperature (28 degrees celsius).
6. The solar cover will be entirley removed onto its roller prior to anyone entering the pool.
7. Chemicals, filters, valves, pump, heater, timers or thermostat must under no circumstances be touched by the client, any issues should be reported and will be resolved by the owners.
8. The pool net may be used by the client to remove any debris or other undesirable item that finds its way into the pool, the blue skimmer basket may be removed and cleaned by the client.
9. The pool has a constant depth of around 1.2m throughout - no diving.
The client is required to complete a booking form (see
www.lalorrie.com/book.aspx). An initial deposit of 20% of the rental fee is required, this is non refundable if cancellation is received less than six weeks before the commencement date. The owner will issue formal acceptance of the booking in a letter of confirmation.
The client must pay the outstanding balance no later than six weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. If payment is not received by this date, the owner reserves the right to give written notice of cancellation of the booking. The client will remain liable to pay the whole outstanding balance unless the owner receives an alternative booking by a third party.
No security & breakages deposit is required, it is accepted that occasionaly small items will be damaged or lost. The cost of replacement or repair of major damage (not considered normal wear and tear and over £100 in value) must be covered by the client.
In the event of a cancellation, the client will only be refunded if the owner receives an alternative booking by a third party. Any costs incurred by the owner as a result of cancellation will be deducted from the amount that is refunded. In the unlikely event that the owner is required to cancel the booking, the owner is limited to a full refund of all monies paid by the client, and refund will be made within 7 days. Under no circumstances shall the owner's liability exceed the amount paid by the client for the rental period.
It is strongly advised that all clients arrange appropriate travel insurance, including cancellation cover. Insurance should also cover the client's personal belongings, personal motor vehicle(s) & other accidents. These are not covered by the owners insurance.
The property is available from 4.00pm (local time) on the commencement date, and must be vacated by 10.00am (local time) on the day of departure. The owner is not obliged to offer the property before the time stated, and the client is not entitled to remain in the property after the agreed time. Any changes to these times must be by prior agreement with the owner, in writing.
The maximum number of people staying at the property must not exceed ten unless with prior agreement from the owner. There will be an additional charge for more than ten people.
The property must be left in the same satisfactory condition as upon arrival. An additional cleaning charge may be made if the property is not left in a satisfactory condition.
The client must report without delay any defects in the property or malfunction of equipment or appliances in the property or garden. This is to ensure that repairs or replacements can be arranged as quickly as possible. It will also assist in avoiding any misunderstanding with regard to responsibility and/or liability for the damage.
During the summer a contractor will attend the property, usually mid week to complete essential service to the pool and complete other gardening tasks, he should be provided access as required and will atempt to cause minimal interruption of your privacy.
General noise & amplified music must be kept to an absolute minimum at all times. In accordance with French law you must not disturb your neighbour before 10.00am, after dark or on a Sunday (or Public Holiday).
The clients further agree to take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean & tidy condition at the end of the rental period. This includes the removal of all domestic and household waste generated during the rental period. Please note that only French toilet paper can be put down the toilets as the property runs off a fosse septic tank. All other sanitary waste MUST NOT be disposed of in the toilets.
The owner shall not be liable to the client for any loss, damage or injury that may occur during the rental period. Similarly, the owner shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury which results from adverse weather conditions, flooding, fire, riot, war, strikes, acts of god or any other matters beyond the owner's control.
